TIME is ready to accept cryptocurrency for subscription
TIME announced its readiness to accept cryptocurrencies as a means of payment for subscriptions.
This is made possible by the international publication's cooperation with the Crypto.com platform, which allows anyone to buy a subscription for a period of 18 months using Crypto.org Coin (CRO) tokens.
As a "thank you" those who purchased a subscription to the magazine in CRO equivalent will receive up to 10% cashback. The purchase itself will cost $49. Unfortunately, the offer is limited geographically and is currently only relevant for residents of Canada and the United States. Regional expansion is scheduled for July this year.
Magazine's president Keith Grossman says the collaboration with Crypto.com will not only continue to innovate in publishing, but will also lead to a significant increase in subscribers to more than 2.3 million today. The technical director of the magazine was in solidarity with his colleague, stressing that the magazine's team is striving to more actively disseminate new technologies, increasing the scale of the cryptocommunity.
As a reminder, TIME previously sold three magazine covers with some of the most controversial titles in the form of NFT and posted a vacancy looking for a new CFO who understands cryptocurrencies.
