An American company Coil run by the ex employee of Ripple launched a special product which lets Internet users “tip” content creators on such social platforms as YouTube, Twitch and Wikipedia in Ripple tokens, XRP.
Coil has developed an extension for browser, the beta version of which is now out. Although, the similar app already exists for Bitcoin, Coil claims to be much more upgraded and improved.
The extension will make it possible to “unlock” specific content on the Internet via XRP coins.
The company is currently cooperating with a bunch of major sites and platforms and is planning to expand the list shortly.
You can now find a list of #WebMonetization-enabled sites at https://t.co/xtmqwxFe1l – If you're a @Coil subscriber, you can add new sites: Visit with the Chrome extension, then click the extension icon. pic.twitter.com/90upqpbaBj
