The Pentagon is developing a long-range artillery gun capable of delivering strikes up to one thousand miles (1,600 km). Tests of the new gun will begin around 2023, The Washington Times reports.
The US military is now paying special attention to the development of such weapons “with unprecedented range”, some reports notify. This technology is still under development.
If the U.S. army gets such weapons it will let to provide opposition to the enemy’s ability to block access and block certain A2/AD (anti-access/area denial) zones, suppress its fire weapons at long ranges and quickly destroy high-priority targets in the future.
