US Department of Commerce officials said they intend to renew the temporary general license for the Chinese electronics manufacturer, Huawei, for 90 days.
US Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross said in his statement this will allow operators to continue to serve customers in the most remote areas of the United States. Important to note is that officials postpone sanctions against Huawei for the third time. Representatives of the technology giant said that this will practically not affect the company’s business.
Recall that earlier Huawei was on the list of banned companies. According to the US State Department, the activities of this organization may pose a threat to US national security.
