These days the opinion of most people about cryptocurrency is splitting up more and more. After the recent repression of the popular social network Facebook by the FBI, it seems the time has come for the IT-giant Google.
The FBI is trying to eradicate from the network any commercials regarding cryptocurrency. In the several months’ time they managed to convince the FB management to remove all such advertising completely.
In turn, the Canadian Securities Commission decided to follow the example of the US agency and began a discussion of this issue with representatives of Google.
“What happened is that Canada’s Binary Options Task Force as well as the FBI explained to Facebook what the concerns were and that these types of ads are leading to people becoming victims. We’ve been talking to Google and had similar discussions and are waiting for them to take similar action”, said Jason Roy, the senior investigator of the Minatobank Securities Commission.
Google has recently introduced some restrictions on the material, which can mislead the unprepared person, however, it was not going to prohibit the advertising of cryptocurrency in the company completely.
Representatives of the Empire of Goods already express their dissatisfaction with the actions of the FBI and the commission headed by Jason Roy.
In any case, it’s most likely that the commission will not give up until it gets a ban on advertising cryptocurrency on Google services. In recent months Jason Roy and the FBI have held close talks on this matter. Nevertheless, it is not completely clear whether the ban on advertising materials is justified from the legal point of view. There is confusion in this matter even in the United States as it is unclear whether registration of the created cryptocurrency is necessary or not. For example, the classification of cryptocoins as securities is now prohibited and falls under the injunction.
