During the Google I/O 2019 conference, representatives of Alphabet Inc represented the new budget smartphones Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL.
The line comes in two sizes – standard and XL. The standard model got a display of 5.6-inches, and XL – 6-inches with the same resolution of 2220×1080. Both versions have an OLED display; 64 GB of internal memory and 4 GB of RAM.
Visually, the models do not differ from their predecessors, except such features:
- the front panel is equipped with only one sensor;
- there is no cutout at the top of the display.
The devices come on the market in black, white and purple colors for $399 (Pixel 3a) and $479 (Pixel 3a XL).
It is worth remarking that the price reduction was achieved due to relatively weak characteristics and cheaper materials of the models.
The company also rebranded smart displays Home Hub, released a new large-screen product called Nest Hub Max.
