Tesla Company began official sales of its budget Tesla Model 3 in South Korea. Thanks to subsidies, the cost of this model for the end customer starts from just 26 thousand US dollars.
It is worth noting that earlier customers from South Korea did not have such benefits from the state. There was a law, according to which tax deductions relied only on electric cars that could be fully charged in 10 hours from a home power socket. Naturally, Tesla cars did not fit this category and sales of luxury models in the country were rather sluggish.
Thus, the South Korean authorities promoted the sale of electric vehicles with small battery capacity. But later this law was canceled and sales of expensive Tesla models went up, and now with the official release of Model 3 on the market and such tax deductions, the company will do much better.
