Scientists Managed to Create the World’s First Tactile Hologram

Scientists from the UK boasted a new invention – a technology that allows creating quite realistic holograms that can be felt without special systems of visual reality.

The new development is called MATD – a multimodal acoustic trap for images. It helps to get visual, auditory and tactile information at the same time. The technology can catch small particles, which consist of a special lightweight material of a sound wave, and hold it in the required position for a long time.

The scientists managed to achieve a tactile sensation due to the technology of ultrasonic exposure. Of course, they had to modify it a little, as a result, it can recreate the structure of various objects and synchronize it with the movements of the hologram finely.
