The head of Ripple, Brad Garlinghouse, says his company is going to invest into projects that will use the XRP token, which is the development of Ripple.
Although Garlinghouse says that while his team will continue to develop solutions for the banking industry, Ripple will look for other ways to apply its token at the same time.
“We, Ripple, will stay focused on solving that institutional use case, but we would certainly partner with companies that are looking to use XRP in lots of different ways”.
The head of Ripple used the company Omni as an example, this company deals with the storage and lease of various goods. The management of the company invested about $25 million into Omni after it decided to use XRP for its activities.
“You should expect that you’ll see more of those,” Garlinghouse added.
The decision of Ripple is not new, more than 20 companies which raised funds in the form of ICO also invest into other projects that use tokens of these investor companies.
