Adobe will not be in time by the end of 2019 and will release full-fledged versions of Photoshop and Illustrator for the Apple iPad tablet next year.
The company said that the versions for the iPad will have all the features of the editors, and this is regarded as “a serious project for creative professionals.”
The team working on programs for Apple tablets “has grown significantly,” but most likely they will not be in time before the new year. Representatives of Adobe announced the full version of Photoshop CC for the iPad over a year ago.
The company is actively working on the integration of the Apple Pencil to manage many functions of future programs. Apple’s portable tablets can become full-time workstations for many professionals in 2020. This year, an updated version of the mobile operating system for the company’s tablets, iPadOS, was introduced, the release of full versions of Photoshop and Illustrator will take place next year. Perhaps this will be the starting point for the very beginning of the “post-PS era” that Apple spoke of many years ago.
