The blockchain technology solutions provider ConsenSys partnered up with Microsoft and luxury fashion brands Louis Vuitton and Dior to create a blockchain-based platform that can be used to check the origin and authenticity of products.
The cooperation was unveiled in the press release of ConsenSys which states the following:
“Aura [the abovementioned platform] aims to serve the entire luxury industry with powerful product tracking and tracing services, based on Ethereum blockchain technology and utilizing Microsoft Azure and makes it possible for consumers to access the product history and proof of authenticity of luxury goods — from raw materials to the point of sale, all the way to second-hand markets.”
Aura will store the information about the product’s history and origin, afterwards, the customers will have a chance to log in the app of the desired brand and look up the necessary data.
In the future, the project is going to be joined by more luxury brands and companies
We remind you that recently Microsoft Azure blockchain was used to track down the coffee of Starbucks.
