Microsoft Presented an Unusual Windows 10X for Dual-Screen Devices

During the presentation, Microsoft not only introduced new hardware but also talked about the Windows 10X operating system. A special version of the OS is designed for gadgets with two displays.

During the announcement, a Microsoft representative demonstrated the interface using an example of a device with two displays. One of the main visual differences between the X-version Windows and the desktop was the Start menu. The branded “live tiles” are replaced by simplified classic icons. Now users can pin selected shortcuts and review the list of recently opened documents. The interface design of Windows 10X is almost identical to the data of the previous leak.

For the first time, animated tiles appeared on Windows Phone and Windows 8, but they were not very popular with desktop owners. It is possible that soon users of Windows 10 for laptops and PC will receive a similar update too. The release date for Windows 10X will be announced later.
