MediaTek specialists showed the world their latest flagship processors, the Helio G90 and G90T. The chips include octa-core CPU clocked at up to 2.05GHz, which uses the same cores (ARM Cortex-A76 and A55) as the latest flagship processors from Qualcomm and Huawei. The MediaTek chip also includes a Mali G76 graphics processor with a clock speed of up to 800 MHz and support for up to 10 GB of LPDDR4x RAM.
G90 and G90T – the first chips in the line of G-series MediaTek, which are initially positioned as gaming. They include HyperEngine technology, which consists of several features designed to improve the performance of games on smartphones. It is worth noting that the chips support HDR 10 technology, and they also know how to predict the quality of the Internet connection well. This feature allows the device to determine when a Wi-Fi signal is degraded quickly, and switch to an LTE connection as a backup automatically.
No doubt, with the new G90 series, MediaTek is planning to take over part of the gaming market.
