Lenovo has updated its line of ThinkPlus external batteries with the launch of a new model with faster charging and a thinner form factor in China. The new device of 14,000 mAh capacity possesses 50 W and can also charge laptops using USB-C. The device is equipped with two USB-A and one USB-C port, the maximum output power is achieved only when using the last port. The device allows charging two smartphones and a laptop together. Of course, in this case, the total power of 50 W is divided between all gadgets.
The battery is compatible with the following fast-charging protocols like USB PD2.0, QC 2.0 and 3.0. It has overvoltage protection at the input and output, as well as protection from short circuit and overheating.
Lenovo ThinkPlus external battery will be available in black and bright red. The regular version will cost 299 yuan ($43), with the Slim Tip port 399 yuan ($57). The new device is available for pre-order at the Chinese site JD. When the power bank goes in the free sale is not yet known.
