The Iranian government officially allowed to engage in the mining of cryptocurrency on its territory. On Sunday, July 21, a special economic commission approved crypto mining in Iran. At the moment, the government is looking for ways to regulate this activity within the framework of the existing legal structure.
“A mechanism to mine digital coins was approved by the government’s economic commission and will later be put to discussion at a cabinet meeting,” – Central Bank of Iran governor Abdolnaser Hemmati said in a statement.
In addition, the Deputy Minister of Energy of Iran, Homayun Haeri, said that he would work to approve a separate electricity price for miners.
Recall that last month Iranian authorities confiscated equipment from two underground farms. Now we can observe perceptible warming in relation to this industry.
