iFixit: Apple Really Solved the Keyboard Problem in the New MacBook Pro

One of the features of the new 16-inch Macbook Pro is a new, more precisely modified, old key-pressing mechanism called “scissors”. Recall, Apple engineers decided to replace it with a newer “butterfly” mechanism a few years ago. But users complained of sticky keys, and the company tried to solve this problem for four years. Apparently, after so many years of work, Apple decided to return to the good old scissors.

“The key mechanism of the new 16-inch MacBook Pro is almost identical to the Magic Keyboard and MacBook models that came before the unsuccessful butterfly mechanism. The new switches consist of two plastic parts, which makes them the most reliable,” summed up at iFixit.

Recall, earlier we wrote that Apple introduced its new Macbook Pro, which costs $6099.
