A team of researchers from Strategy Analytics has published a ranking of smartphones manufacturers in accordance with the sales of gadgets for the first quarter of 2019. Apple fell to the third position, giving way to the Huawei brand.
The Chinese brand outperformed the American company by 16 million units sold during this period of time. At the same time, the share of global sales of Huawei increased by 6.5%, while the share of Apple declined by 2.1%. The reason for the decrease in demand for Apple gadgets is in inflated prices.
As for the first place, gold still goes to Samsung, with sales of 71.8 million smartphones, or 21.7%.
It is worth noting that despite the dominant position, its market share is also declining, while Chinese brands continue to be actively sold in foreign markets.
The published results of smartphones sales did not come as a surprise since at the beginning of this year, researchers from various companies predicted such a scenario, in particular, the TrendForce team.
Now, according to the results of the first quarter, we see that their forecast turned out to be accurate.
