Representatives of MetaMask (wallet for ETH) stated that the Google Play suspended their applications for the Android mobile operating system about a week ago.
In the last week, the MetaMask Android client was suspended by the Google Play App Store @googleplaydev. They cited their policy that bans mining on mobile, which we don't. Appeal rejected. #ProtectWeb3.https://t.co/rfP4EbOAqv!?zippy_activeEl=cryptocurrencies%23cryptocurrencies

The official reason for the removal is the ban on placing mobile applications for cryptocurrency mining. MetaMask employees wrote to Google Play technical support that their product has nothing to do with mining, but the appeal was rejected.
“We don’t. It’s unclear whether the reviewer doesn’t understand the policy, or whether they are enforcing an unwritten policy” – MetaMask said.
Representatives of the Ethereum wallet claim that similar cases have already taken place since employees of the search giant removed the MetaMask extension for the Chrome browser in 2018.
