Weapons with artificial intelligence can destroy the cities of the world in a matter of seconds, former Google developer Laura Nolan said.
She talked about a system that can make decisions without a person. She thinks, if there are many similar systems in one region, then there is a possibility of a “sudden war” since they will react to each other almost instantly.
She compared this situation to stock exchange crashes, which work on automatic algorithms.
Recall that back in 2015, thousands of engineers and researchers signed an open letter warning about the danger of using artificial intelligence in the creation of military equipment and the most advanced weapons systems. They also called for abandoning the use of AI when creating weapons.
