The South Korean electronics giant Samsung seems to be quite interested in cryptocurrencies. The company invested in a crypto startup, there were also rumors about cryptocurrencies being present in Samsung Pay.
Now the report of the Korean news agency Business Korea states that the budgets phones of Samsung will follow the tendency of Galaxy S10 and have blockchain and crypto features added to their functionality, for instance Samsung Blockchain Wallet or Samsung Blockchain Store.
Samsung Galaxy S10 was a pioneer in this area and an attempt to expand the blockchain market. Now the company plans to cooperate with blockchain-specialized firms to develop digital identity authentication.
“We will lower barriers to new experiences by gradually expanding the number of Galaxy models that support blockchain functions. We will also expand our service target countries after Korea, the United States and Canada,” said Samsung’s management director Chae Won-cheol.
