China decided to follow in Elon Musk and present a reusable booster. Chinese engineers managed to assemble a 90 tons rocket, and it will be able to deliver 1.9 tons of cargo into low Earth orbit.
The booster was called Hyperbola-2, its first commercial launch is planned for 2021. The development of the rocket was carried out by engineers of the private company i-Space. According to Dong Yanmin, technology Vice President i-Space, the new booster will not only satisfy the growing demand for launching small and medium satellites but also help to provide emergency launch services.
This booster has low cost and high reliability and can provide high-quality satellite launches, Dong Yanmin said.
