The American studio Infinity Ward released Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Gamers around the world had high hopes for this project since the publisher Activision promised to do the long-awaited “reboot” of the series, returning to its origins, but with new graphics, improved gameplay, as well as a complete revision of the multiplayer in 2019.
The restriction on reviews fell off last night and journalists who had received the game before, started to publish their very positive impressions. Critics recommend Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The average reviewers` rate on Metacritic is now 86 points – this is the highest rate for the series since 2011 when Modern Warfare 3 was released. Then every next part of the shooter got worse and worse, turning into a boring shooting gallery every year.
Among the advantages of the game, they note the excellent graphics and a perfectly transmitted feeling of shooting, various interesting levels, spectacular production scenes, interesting multiplayer modes, and first-class sound design.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare turned out to have few shortcomings: an extremely short story campaign for 5-6 hours, story holes and a poorly designed Spec Ops mode.
Call of Duty is primarily famous for its multiplayer, but the storyline campaign was also successful – it was given special attention after its absence in last year’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. Critics say that the story turned out to be interesting, multifaceted, exciting and relevant, though short. The creators of Uncharted and The Last of Us from Naughty Dog worked on the production of spectacular moments, where their hand is felt.
Acivision seems to have heard criticism from the players and redesigned the game as requested by the audience of the series fans. Work on errors eventually helped the new product to become the most highly regarded part of the series over the past 8 years and the main applicant for the game of 2019.
