Apple Hired one of Tesla’s Lead Engineers

The Apple company hired one of Tesla’s leading engineers, Michael Schwekutsch. This man has an excellent track record, he had a hand in creating electric transmissions for such cars like Porsche 918 Spyder, Fiat 500eV, Tesla Roadster 2, BMW i8, etc.

As you know, earlier, Apple has reduced the number of specialists who worked on the development of its own electric car. But the fact that the company hired Michael Schwekutsch, says that this project is not closed. While there is no information, what exactly will Schwekutsch be engaged in at Apple, but his track record speaks for itself. Let’s just say, he is unlikely to be responsible for developing a new iPhone.

According to analysts, he will work in the Project Titan division, which is working on the creation of software for unmanned vehicles. A few years ago, there were rumors on the Internet that Apple wanted to develop its own electric car and put it into mass production. But later, the company decided that they needed to focus exclusively on software that could be integrated into the products of other car manufacturers in the future.
