Earlier this month Apple officially launched its Apple Card as a “preview rollout” and yesterday, August 20, the company finally made it available to all US residents. As promised, all iPhone owners in the US will now be able to apply for an Apple Card through the Wallet iOS app.
“We’re thrilled with the overwhelming interest in Apple Card and its positive reception,” – says Jennifer Bailey, Apple’s vice president of Apple Pay. “Customers have told us they love Apple Card’s simplicity and how it gives them a better view of their spending.”
Along with the expansion of the Apple Card, Apple is also expanding the money-back program for purchases in more applications and stores. For example, if you use Uber or Uber Eats with an Apple Card through Apple Pay, now you get 3% cashback, and Apple says it plans to add more sellers in the coming months. The same conditions apply when you purchase from the Apple Store and iTunes Store.
