AlipayHK Integrates E-Wallet into McDonald’s Application

Representatives of the Hong Kong payment system AlipayHK have announced cooperation with the world’s largest fast-food restaurant chain McDonald’s. It is reported by the news portal The Drum.

AlipayHK was among the first to integrate an e-wallet into McDonald’s mobile app, through which users will be able to place orders and pay for them.

AlipayHK users will be provided exclusive rewards through the application when using a payment system based on a QR code.

AlipayHK CEO Jennifer Tan stated that the agreement is part of an effort to continuously digitize the restaurant industry.

“Currently, Alipay customers can use the e-wallets to make payment in nearly 10,000 restaurants”, she said.

Representatives of AlipayHK are confident that this initiative will help the restaurant business to take part in the digital transformation in the food and beverage sector. This will certainly allow customers to get an individual experience of convenient mobile orders and payments, making the digital concept of life a reality.
