Representatives of the largest manufacturer of aircraft in the world, Airbus, said they were working on the design of an environmentally-friendly 100-seat passenger airliner. Approximately, a unique flying vehicle will be ready by the beginning of 2030.
The company is working on several methods to reduce hydrocarbon emissions into the atmosphere: the introduction of more efficient engines, the development of hybrid systems, the use of alternative energy sources, the improvement of aerodynamics, etc.
Earlier this year, Airbus and Boeing said they would work to reduce the carbon footprint and halve their number by 2050. But it is important to understand that manufacturers of airliners are limited to development cycles that take decades, so this process cannot be fast.
