A large British audit and consulting company Ernst&Young has developed a blockchain solution which became a basis for a platform that helps Asian customers to track down the supply chain of European wines to check their origin and authenticity.

The platform will operate to help determine the quality, provenance, and authenticity of new and vintage wines with a focus on markets in China, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, and Singapore, where the consumption of European wines is expanding,” is mentioned in the press release.

The name of the blockchain platform is TATTOO, which stands for Traceability, Authenticity, Transparency, Trade, Origin, and Opinion. It is soon going to contain over 5 thousand wine labels from Europe, Africa and Australia.
