As we reported earlier, two large-scale celebrities – an ex-boxer Floyd Mayweather and a music giant DJ Khaled – promoted a token sale of the project that turned out to be a scam. We remind you:
Back then, the celebrities did not face any charges, only the people directly involved in the scheme were arrested. Now the situation changed: SEC is pressing charges against them for not revealing the fact of receiving money from the fraudster firm, CentraTech. DJ Khaled was paid 50 thousand dollars, and Mayweather was paid 100 thousand.
Neither of them has made any comments on the matter so far. However, now they owe SEC in fined: Mayweather – around 615 thousand dollars, DJ Khaled – around 153 thousand dollars.
