Belgian Researcher Got Digital Currency from DNA

Sander Wuyts won DNA Storage Bitcoin Challenge for his experiment.

According to Тhe Merkle, that experiment was about participants cracking a DNA sample sequence to decode the file that would provide access to a digital wallet with one prize Bitcoin. Participants actually had to decrypt the password that organizers had coded in DNA.

It started back in late 2015 but was finally completed only now.

The belgian scientist got a prize of more than nine thousand euros. Sander Wuyts also noted that he had decided to take part in the contest just to test his abilities.
