Norwegischer Milliardär investiert in ASIC-Hersteller
Ole Andreas Halvorsen, one of the top 5 richest people in Norway, has invested in the manufacturer of ASIC for mining cryptocurrencies - Harmonychain.
Apparently, the cryptocurrency has become interesting not only to the Norwegian billionaire Kjell Inge Recke, but also to other wealthy representatives of this country. And while the former is investing in the future of our ecology by investing in cryptocurrencies, Ole Andreas Halvorsen has chosen a mining equipment manufacturer as a target for cash injections.
Halvorsen himself is considered one of the highest paid hedge fund managers. According to the Forbes edition, he took 11th place in the corresponding rating of managers.
Representatives of the Swedish cryptocurrency exchange Trijo said that Harmonychain planned to list on the Oslo stock exchange. However, the listing on the exchange has been temporarily postponed.
The Harmonychain team itself focuses on improving the environment, reducing energy losses and CO2 emissions, creating various solutions for this on the blockchain. Today, the guys from Harmonychain are working hard on a microchip-supercomputer for ASICs with artificial intelligence, as well as an algorithm called Scrypt for accounting for cryptocurrency. Among the immediate targets is the Litecoin Scrypt ASIC miner, scheduled for release at the end of 2022.
Halvorsen's attention to the cryptocurrency industry is a great sign for the entire crypto community. The more attention digital currencies receive from large venture capitalists and top managers, the closer their adoption is even by the most ossified institutions. And given the fact that Halvorsen is one of the most respected hedge fund managers in the world and a protégé of Wall Street legend Julian Robertson, he could play an important role in the advancement of cryptocurrencies in the future.
