Der Gründer von Cardano nennt Ethereum einen Müllcontainer
Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson said Cardano would attract a billion users, calling Ethereum a "garbage container" that benefits several groups of the world's elite.
The mathematician is convinced that Cardano is already ahead of Ethereum by light years. At a minimum, faster transactions and lower commissions. In this regard, he predicts that the blockchain of his team will be the first to reach the base of a billion users. Hoskinson said this on Periscope Livestream.
According to Hoskinson, Cardano is still in its infancy and is about to advance to the next stage. This stage for blockchain will be metadata, then tokens and, finally, smart contracts. However, they can already offer as much as Ethereum, which has had smart contracts for many years.
He cited DApps based on Cardano as an example - authentication of New Balance shoes and cattle as part of the BeefChain project.
Hoskinson then criticised the view that applications on the Ethereum blockchain have become part of people's daily lives. Its version is that only a small group of people exploits millions of consumers with commissions for transactions of 100 dollars and a whole crop of absolutely useless DeFi projects. A great example of this, according to Charles, was the NFT, sold for millions of dollars, but no less useless.
Hoskinson compared Ethereum to MySpace and Blackberry, saying the Ethereum team was a pioneer in the smart contract and corporate blockchain industry. But in the long run, they will not be able to maintain the network only at the expense of the latter. He also reminded that MySpace was replaced by Facebook, which literally "killed" the social network, which was popular at that time.
"If you don't believe me, please take out your BlackBerry and go to Yahoo using the Netscape browser, and then go to your MySpace profile. Here's an example of how quickly things can change in the world. And with cryptocurrencies it will happen even faster," Hoskinson said.
He also stressed that in the long term, projects on Ethereum will be transferred to the Cardano blockchain. All of them are looking for the most efficient platform and Cardano has every chance to become more efficient when the developers realise that it works better than Ethereum.
According to Hoskinson, DeFi projects are not interested in making money for Vitalik Buterin or Joe Lubin. They want to provide services. And if there is a way to do it faster, cheaper and with more liquidity, they will quietly move to a new territory for selfish, but quite fair motives.
