Cryptocurrencies Totaling Over $1 Million Confiscated from Drug Dealers in Australia
A couple of drug dealers who tried to import more than 50 grams of psychotropic drugs (ecstasy) into the country were arrested in Australia. The suspects packed drugs in a children's drawing set. Local law enforcement authorities opened a criminal case and confiscated a cryptocurrency wallet with more than $1 million while investigation. These digital assets were frozen by the court decision. Detainees are accused of possession of narcotic drugs for sale purposes.  Police said they would carefully study how individuals engaged in illegal activities store financial assets. Earlier this year Australian authorities suspended the work of two cryptocurrency exchanges with activities involving drug trafficking.
