Gavin Andresen Doesn't Believe in Satoshi Nakamoto's Predictions
One of the Bitcoin pioneers, Gavin Andresen questioned the words of the unknown creator of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto. Recall, the latter argued that the Bitcoin network is waiting for either an inevitable increase in the number of transactions or their total absence. More specifically, he stated that there will be either a lot of transactions in the Bitcoin network or not a single one by 2030. But Andresen believes that something will happen between these two extremes. He wrote about this on his Twitter.
“Satoshi might turn out to be wrong about this. In ten years BTC could be a niche coin for gold bugs, with about the same transaction volume as today”
Important to note is that Andresen is one of the earliest followers of Bitcoin, he learned about it back in 2010 and began to supervise the development of Bitcoin Core after some time. In 2016, he supported Craig Wright and also claimed that he was Satoshi Nakamoto, as a result, he had to leave the Bitcoin Core team. He is currently a developer of Bitcoin Cash.
