Fidelity Charity Organization Received More than $100 Million in Crypto Donations
At the end of last month representatives of the Fidelity charitable organization, Fidelity Charitable said that since 2015 they have received more than $100 million in donations in digital coins.
In total, cryptocurrencies worth more than $106 million have been provided for Fidelity Charitable since it first began accepting this form of donation, according to the firm's annual report published late last month. However, every year the number of crypto donations decreases.
“We see cryptocurrency donations rise along with increases in the value of cryptocurrencies in the marketplace,” – said a company representative.
In 2017, cryptocurrencies were the fastest-growing type of asset accepted by the firm, with donations for more than $69 million. According to the annual report, the pace of donations fell to $30 million in 2018.
