Does McAfee Consider His Wallet Not Hacked?
As we reported earlier, a crypto personality John McAfee launched a bounty campaign for his digital wallet Bitfi. He promised $100 thousand and later $250 thousand to a person who would conquer the security systems of Bitfi and hack it. Calling Bitfi “unhackable” McAfee was sure he would not have to give money to anyone, but his plans did not go as intended. Quite soon after the announcement, the representatives of a cyber security company OverSoft claimed to have accomplished the task. The message from OverSoft was completely ignored. However, the wallet developers launched the 2nd stage of their bounty which implies that they do not consider Bitfi hacked. The reward size this time will be way more modest - only $10 thousand.
