Intel will create mining accelerators

Intel representative and project leader Raja Koduri said that the company intends to develop a mining accelerator. The release of the software product will take place before the end of 2022.

Data on the specifics of the program will be reported at the end of February. This event is timed to coincide with an international conference that deals with solid state circuits.

According to Koduri, by introducing an accelerator into the functionality of blockchains, it is possible to speed up the production of cryptocurrencies by 1000 times. This statement did not go unnoticed by the media. After all, if this is so, the cryptocurrency mining industry will soon face a global upheaval.

Intel partners in this project will be 3 companies: Argo Blockchain, the BLOCK project, formerly called Square, and GRIID Infrastructure. They will be the first to implement the accelerator in their platforms.
