Hive Blockchain will mine on new Intel ASICs

The American bitcoin mining firm plans to expand its operations by purchasing new equipment. These are custom-made Intel Bonanza Mine chips that are more environmentally friendly.

An agreement on the purchase of equipment has already been signed with the manufacturer - Intel. On its basis, specialized devices for mining bitcoin blocks will be created. A third-party organization will be involved in this, which will integrate the chips into air-cooled units.

Thanks to the new chips, the cryptocurrency mining speed will increase from 1.9 to 3.8 Eh/s. They will go into operation in the second half of this year. Mining energy savings will allow Hive to use more hardware and increase its hashing power.

Hive will also benefit from greener chips, as there will be no claims against the company from the authorities. Recall that currently in the US, some states, such as New York, want to ban mining due to high energy consumption.

Hive Texas equipment is powered by renewable energy. Also, thanks to the new chips, the work of this company will become more “green”.

We will follow the development of the situation. Read our news and subscribe to social networks. You can also start mining cryptocurrency using Hive OS service.
