Computerworld: Google will Stop Producing Its Tablets

Google plans to leave the tablet business, according to Computerworld. At the moment, at least two models are out of production, due to non-compliance with the quality standards set by the technical giant.

Most of the developers who were involved in creating the new line were transferred to the notebook development department. It is expected that in the future the main efforts will be focused on the development of laptops. According to Google’s vice president, Rick Osterloh, the Google team will focus exclusively on creating laptops, but will not stop supporting Android and Chrome OS on previously released devices.

It should be noted that the Google Pixel 2 in 1 series belongs to the category of “laptop” and not “tablet”.
