China Updated Its Cryptocurrency Rating: Bitcoin Climbed Up a Few Positions
The Center for Information and Industry Development (CCID), under China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, released its first cryptocurrency rating in 2019, the list has changed a little in compare to the last one which was released last year. The main change are:
  • Bitcoin raised up from the 18th place in the previous month’s ranking to the 15th place.
  • Bitcoin Cash climbed up from the 30th place to the 28th place.

Source: Two top coins, EOS and Ethereum, did not change their positions, however the center emphasized that the Ethereum Constantinople upgrade is expected to be taken into account in the next evaluation cycle. Unfortunately, Ethereum Classic has fallen down from 15th place to the 19th place. The center explained that this happened due to the Ethereum Classic 51% Attack, which was quite damaging to the coin. All 34 coins were ranked in three different categories: basic technology, applicability, and creativity.
