CFTC - has filed charges against BitMEX
The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has filed charges against BitMEX and its executives for non-compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act.
According to news agency Reuters, the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) on Thursday opened criminal cases against the four founders and executives of the BitMEX cryptocurrency exchange. Accusing them of not taking adequate measures to prevent money laundering through the exchange floor.
The US Department of Justice said BitMEX founders Benjamin Delo, Arthur Hayes and Samuel Reed, and the company's first employee, Gregory Dwyer, were accused of violating the Bank Secrecy Act and conspiring to violate the law.
