WingRiders closes seed and private round with support from Matrixport and other well-known crypto companies

Wingriders, a decentralized exchange deployed on the Cardano testnet (“DEX”), has announced the completion of a seed and private funding round involving a number of well-known crypto investors, including global brands: Matrixport , Animoca, Spark Digital Capital, Double Peak and Bitrue.

WingRiders emerged from stealth mode in December 2021 with a working prototype deployed on the Cardano testnet. The company will move to the mainnet of Cardano in the next few weeks and, once done, will release details of its token issuance (“TGE”).

WingRiders plans to complete all steps during the first half of 2022. Speaking about the investment round, project spokesman Kaaran Kalantari said: “It's great to see the support our project has received in such a short time. Due to the quick decision of our investors, we are confident that the community will also see the future potential of our platform, not only for Cardano, but for the cryptocurrency industry as a whole. Our partners are the biggest players. The faith of our sponsors is the foundation for our ambitions.”

“Wingriders is building a robust and high-performing decentralized exchange (DEX) that aims to bridge the gaps in the Cardano ecosystem. We are pleased to partner with a team that has a deep IT background and is strongly committed to the goals of the community. We expect many innovations that will significantly contribute to the development of the Cardano blockchain,” said Deng Yang, co-founder and CEO of Matrixport , the fastest growing crypto financial services platform from Asia.

“As the crypto space develops, it is important to support projects that have a bold vision for the future of the market and add value to metaverse compatible infrastructure. WingRiders is developing a platform for the safe and secure exchange of tokens, and in doing so, supports the growth of the Cardano ecosystem,” added Yat Siu, co-founder and executive chairman of Animoca Brands.

“We have listened to our community asking us to keep working harder and harder on the Cardano ecosystem. We are currently the first exchange to invest its own assets in WingRiders, another step in supporting the growing interest and future development of Cardano. The WingRiders platform is associated with the biggest brand in the industry and will no doubt be a long-term participant in the crypto market. We are proud to partner with them,” explained Bitrue CEO Adam O'Neill.
In addition to Matrixport, Animoca and Bitrue, Spark Digital Capital and Double Peak capital also participated in the rounds. All of these high-profile brands have put their faith in the promising new WingRiders platform to run on the Cardano network.

Matrixport is one of Asia's fastest growing digital financial services platforms. The company manages and holds the equivalent of $10 billion in assets and provides various financial services with an average monthly trading volume of more than $5 billion. The list of services includes the Cactus CustodyTM custody service, over-the-counter spot trading, fixed income options, lending, and management assets.
