Bitwise Asset Management ETF Verdict Delayed by SEC Again
The verdict on the application for Bitcoin ETF from crypto startup Bitwise Asset Management from California was postponed again. A document published by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Tuesday morning notes the regulator’s reluctance to reach a final verdict. Now the SEC will be obliged to decide on this cryptocurrency investment instrument within the next 45 days. It is not the first time when SEC uses the right of additional 45 days to consider the proposal. It should be noted that the regulator has yet to respond to VanEck and SolidX applications, which many investors believe are more likely to succeed. Despite the postponement, Bitwise still believes that the proposal submitted by the company must be approved. An interesting fact is that SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce is optimistic about Bitcoin ETF. She told Decrypt Media that
“I thought the time was right a year ago - even longer than that”.
She also told about her concern that regulators impede the adoption of this innovation. We want to remind you: Subscribe to The Coin Shark news in Facebook:
