The management of the Walla Walla district in Washington state, USA, approved the transfer of land to the company Ant Creek with the possibility of its subsequent sale to a Chinese manufacturer of mining equipment, Bitmain, according to the publication Union Bulletin.
The media reported that Ant Creek has the sole manager, it is the co-founder of Bitmain, Jihan Wu. The main condition of the transaction is 10 acres, which will be sold in a year. The rental price for each is $4700. However, the original offer for the purchase of 30 acres of land was rejected.
At the same time, residents of Walla Walla County are worried about the amount of energy spent by the new institution. In their opinion, Ant Creek plans to enrich the owner of the facilities without taking into account the deductions to the treasury of the district.
We would like to remind you that the co-founder of Bitmain is planning to invest into private central banks and 20-30 startups that are creating the system using blockchain for the legalized issue of private digital currencies.
In January Bitmain sold the first batch of new mining equipment in less than a day due to a new Antminer model called Antminer A3.
