‘Bakkt Bitcoin futures are actively trading on ICE Futures US, while Bakkt Warehouse continues to accept deposits in bitcoins. We take customer confidence seriously and are happy to serve this market’ — Bakkt representatives added.
Recall that Bakkt was the first platform that received permission from the US authorities to service trading in deliverable Bitcoin futures. The company announced its intention to provide participants of federal-regulated markets with the opportunity to work with a tool that will let them receive payments in Bitcoins more than a year ago and announced about the elimination of the latest obstacles on August 16.
At the time of publication, there is no data on futures with daily settlements, while the volume of trades in monthly futures amounted to 18 contracts several hours before the launch, where one contract corresponds to 1 BTC. At the same time, the amount of Bitcoins transferred to the Bakkt store remains unknown – the company does not disclose the addresses of its wallets.
