The publishing house Little Brown gained the rights to publish a new book by Ben Mezrich “Bitcoin Billionaires: A True Story of Sex, Genius, Betrayal, Redemption and the six foot five, identical twin Olympic rowers who spun virtual currency into an empire of solid gold“. It is known that the book will be released in the US and the UK in the spring, 2019.
According to the idea of the author, the story of the book is based on a journey through time with an emphasis on the importance of the crypto industry and the Winklewoss brothers places: on the Silk Road website, in the hall of the Securities and Exchange Commission of the United States, at the headquarters of Facebook.
The book also describes the brothers’ plans for a venture fund, that was not launched in Silicon Valley, due to fears that the scandal with Zuckerberg could negatively affect this.
“Quite by accident, while nursing their wounds in Ibiza, they stumbled into a shady character who pointed out to them that Facebook, ironically, was now the establishment,” the spokesperson said. “If they wanted to be disrupters and make a true killing they needed to get in on the ground floor of a brand new idea: cryptocurrency. They started buying Bitcoin when it was $6 a coin – it is now trading at over $7000 a coin, on 26th November 2017, the twins became the first Bitcoin billionaires.”
The first novel about the brothers Winklewoss was called “The Accidental Billionaires“. It was released in 2009, and in 2010, David Fincher made a film on it.
We want to remind you that recently the brothers once again fell into the scandal due to the received permission to operate their crypto exchange Gemini.
