One NFT CryptoPunks sold for $24 million in ETH
CryptoPunk picture number 5822 broke all sales records, being bought by a new owner for 8000 ETH. This is the equivalent of $24 million.
NFT was bought by Chain technology company CEO Deepak Tapliyal. He wrote about this in his Twitter post, indicating that he acquired NFT through Compound Finance. The high cost of CryptoPunk #5822 is explained by the fact that there are only 9 of them for the entire 10,000th collection.
Interest in CryptoPunks is always great. Pictures depict people, zombies, aliens, monkeys and so on. In total, 10,000 of them were created. About 300 are currently considered irretrievably lost.
Trading in non-fungible tokens of this kind is active, as this is one of the oldest NFT collections in the world. The photos were developed in 2017 and have since been in huge demand as avatars and collectible art objects.
