32 Bills Aimed At Regulating Cryptocurrencies Have Been Considered In The USA Over The Past Year
Discussion about the benefits or harms of cryptocurrencies is ongoing around the world. The main legislative body of the United States has considered 32 draft laws regarding the regulation of the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry over the past 16 months.
Most of the bills are related to the development of a regulatory framework for cryptocurrencies and blockchain, 12 are aimed at counteracting money laundering through cryptocurrencies. Besides, two bills are considering introducing a digital dollar.
Recall, last month, representatives of the cryptocurrency industry met with employees of the US Department of the Treasury, to discuss the issue of regulating digital currencies.
